Canada is well-recognized for many things, including its Fall colours. If you are camping this fall in Northern Ontario, it is a great opportunity to explore many trails and take in the gorgeous and colourful sights.

Enjoy one or several of these beautiful trails for Fall colours!

Robertson Cliffs

Located in the Algoma region, Robertson Cliffs is a must-do 4.3 km moderate hike that takes you to a rock cliff overlooking the area. Robertson Cliffs is owned and operated by the Algoma Highlands Conservancy. In addition to the Fall colours to admire, there are also wildflowers and a waterfall.

Orphan Lake Trail

The Orphan Lake Trail is a moderate 6.9 km loop located in Lake Superior Provincial Park and one of the many trails in the park. The hike starts with a walk through the woods and takes you along the edge of Orphan Lake and alongside Lake Superior.

Rock Candy Mountain Trail

If you are looking for an easy and short hike to do as a family, the Rock Candy Mountain Trail in Algoma is a favourite fall hike. It is a 1.5 km beginner-friendly hike located north of Thessalon and the trailhead can be found on Highway 129.

Devil’s Rock Trail

Located near Temiskaming Shores, this moderate 6.6 km out and back trail is worth the trip for its great forest setting. It can be muddy at a times, but the trail is wide with a gentler slope. There are two ways to get to the trail the first being accessed from Bucke Campground. The second way is to access the trail from the east side of Highway 567 near Bucke Lake.

Duchesnay Falls Trail

Offering exquisite waterfall views, especially when the fall colours are in full effect, the Duchesnay Falls Trail is a short 3.5 km loop. Located near North Bay, the trail offers a series of interconnected waltzes along the cliffs and shorelines of the falls as well as scenic points.
