Pancake Bay Provincial Park: A Stop to Add to your Camping Itinerary!
The name itself is enough to convince anyone to visit!
Located on the shores of Lake Superior, Pancake Bay Provincial Park offers more than three kilometers of beautiful sand beach and Caribbean blue water. It got its name from the fur trade era when voyageurs would camp there on their way from Fort William and they would make pancakes for dinner as their food supply was getting low. They would replenish their stores the next day in Sault Ste. Marie.
The park nests along the historic paddling route of the Voyageurs.
With 328 campsites, including 70 with electricity, five yurts and a group camping site, Pancake Bay is a great destination for RV enthusiasts and their families.
There are a ton of activities to do as well, including hiking, boating, biking, fishing, swimming, wildlife viewing and natural heritage education to name a few.
Don’t forget share in the experience by cooking pancakes as an activity in your interior or exterior RV kitchen while camping at Pancake Bay!
